Why this website?

If you've made it this far, congratulations. It took about 25 pages of word document and a LOT of graphics to compose all the essays on this shrine, and I have to admit it's a big read. I really thought it was worth it for this couple though.

Oddly enough, I didn't get the Katara and Zuko hints in Book 1 and early Book 2. However, the Book 2 finale, The Crossroads of Destiny, was when I first saw it and I was hooked ever since. Then the series finale, when Zuko took lightning for her, I was officially a fan.

The love for the couple escalated when I started getting involved in the fandom. The Zutara and Capslock Zutara communites on LiveJournal are filled with fantastic, talented people who share my views and preference for Katara & Zuko. Meeting likeminded people to discuss the couple endlessly and see amazing fanworks is a pleasure.

Since I'm not a great writer or artist, but I can make a website, this was my own little way of showing my love for the couple. I do hope you enjoyed your stay.

Why Eclipse?

To be honest, I tried a lot of names for this fanlisting, like Fire and Ice and Sun and Moon, but a lot of them focused on Katara and Zuko being different, opposite. I wanted a name that represented the two of them together, but still gave credit to the opposites attract nature of their relationship.

As you can imagine, I start playing around with the sun and moon symbology when it finally hit me. Eclipse, when they get in each other's paths. When the heavenly bodies literally collide and have to co exist in the same space while still being two separate, powerful entities. It just fit perfectly, and I knew it had to be the name of this website.
